Posted by aMuse Toys on April 27, 2013 0 Comments

The aTeam is registered & ready to #ROARforAutism tomorrow morning at Kennedy Kriegers annual 5K in Oregon Ridge Park. We think it is a great way to kick off our Shop for a Cause donation event!

In addition to raising funds for a toy donation of carefully selected products from Melissa & Doug via our #Likes4Tikes campaign, this Sunday April 28 you can support the efforts of the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Center for Autism & Related Disorders. Shop in stores (both locations) & online (amusetoys.com) & 10% of your purchase will be donated to their autism research programs. We have a donation goal of $1,000 & you can help! Get out & #ShopForACause!

The Hunt for #FlatSebastian

Posted by Claudia Towles on March 25, 2013 0 Comments

It's hard to believe [mostly because it just snowed] but Passover has arrived and Easter is just around the corner. To celebrate spring we've decided to have a scavenger hunt of sorts.

We have hidden (over 200) Flat Sebastians all around Baltimore. Fells Point, Canton, Inner Harbor, Little Italy, Quarry Lake, Pikesville, Roland Park, Hampden & Mount Washington. We'll be hiding more as the week goes on. From now until the 31st anyone who finds a #FlatSebastian will be entitled to a free gift and an in-store discount (#FlatSebastian must be presented to redeem prize and discount).

We've also hidden 25 "golden egg" Flat Sebastians worth a $10 aMuse Toys gift card! Not up for an outdoor adventure? No problem! For you indoor folks we've got little Flat Sebastians hiding all around the stores (he's hanging out with HABA, Janod, Green Toys, Jelly Cat, Magna-Tiles, etc). These little guys are only redeemable for a prize (sorry we want you out in the wild to earn that discount).

So don't let this chilly weather keep you from exploring these neighborhoods (and our two locations!). Chances are good that you'll find one of our little buddies just hanging [or sitting] around.

Happy hunting!

For more chances to win tweet, instagram (using #FlatSebastian) or facebook (post on our wall) a photo of you with our little friend. We'll be giving away three $25 gift cards to those sharing their adventure on social media.

National Neighborhood Toy Store Day: Supporting our Community

Posted by aMuse Toys on November 07, 2012 0 Comments

This November 10th aMuse Toys will once again be donating a portion of the days sales to a Baltimore non-profit. Just like with previous National Neighborhood Toy Store Days, this years organization was selected with the help of our fans on Facebook. The Kennedy Krieger Institute won the nomination by posting a record 257 votes with a total of 660 fans weighing in.

Last year's recipient, Casey Cares received a check for over $2,000. We hope to top that amount in 2012.

National Neighborhood Toy Store Day was founded by the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association based in Chicago, with the idea that highlighting independently owned toy stores, their expertise and community commitment would create a greater awarness of their value to our communities.

We invite you to join us in supporting the amazing efforts of the Kennedy Krieger Institute on our third annual National Neighborhood Toys Store Day celebration, Saturday, November 10th from 10am-7pm.
